TranslateImageOnline.com is a free tool for reading and translating text trapped inside images — photos of signs and menus, screenshots, scanned documents, and more. Paste an image, and it detects the text and shows you a translation, directly on the picture.

Why we built it

Most tools that do this either require an account, hide the good features behind a paywall, or send your images to a server you can't see into. We wanted something simpler: no signup, no watermark, and OCR that runs right in your browser instead of on a server.

What it does — honestly

We detect text regions in your image and overlay the translated text in a solid box at that location. We don't reconstruct or "inpaint" the background behind the original text the way some paid tools claim to — that's a deliberate trade-off that keeps the tool fast, free, and privacy-friendly. How it's funded

The site is supported by advertising, which is what lets us keep the core tool free with no signup and no usage caps.
